Bio: Marcel de Groot studiert Organisation und Management in Amsterdam. Dort arbeitet er ab 2001 beim Energieunternehmen Nuon NV u.a. als Marketing Group Manager. Nach einer Stippvisite bei Pon Automotive stößt de Groot 2008 zu Vodafone, wo er Head of Consumer Postpaid Marketing in den Niederlanden wird. Ab 2012 ist er Direktor für das Consumer-Geschäft in Irland, 2016 verantwortet er selbiges in den Niederlanden. Beim Joint Venture Vodafone Ziggo ist de Groot ab 2017 Chief Commercial Officer. 2022 macht Vodafone Deutschland ihn zum Geschäftsführer des Privatkundengeschäfts. Im April 2024 wird er neuer CEO von Vodafone Deutschland.
