Corning, US-Glaslieferant für iPhones, erhält von Apple weitere 250 Mio Dollar. Die Forschung rund um das Glasherstellungsverfahren solle ausgebaut werden. Apples Initiative "Advanced Manufacturing Fund" wolle die US-Produktion stärken. Corning produziert u.a. Gorilla-Glas, das als besonders widerstandsfähig gilt und auch in Smartphones anderer Hersteller verbaut ist.
